Hungarian–Romanian Health Day – Sport & Lifestyle Festival – Szentes

Join us for the Hungarian–Romanian Health Day, a full-day festival dedicated to sport, health, and community. Organized by the Szentes Water Polo Club (SZVK) and Clubul Sportiv Atletico Arad (CSAA), this cross-border initiative brings together children, families, and communities to celebrate an active and healthy lifestyle.

Programme Highlights

08:00–19:00 – Youth Water Polo Tournament
All-day matches showcasing the next generation of Hungarian and Romanian water polo talents.
(Detailed match schedule will be available as a separate programme attachment.)
09:00 – Opening Ceremony
Welcome speeches by Viktor Vörös, President of Szentes Water Polo Club, and Zoltán Ferenc Szabó, Mayor of Szentes.
Sport & Lifestyle Activities (throughout the day)
RowErg indoor rowing challenge
Tethered swimming contest in the pool
Mini football cup in the park
Sprint swimming races (25 m)
Community art project: “Sport & Health” collaborative poster
Health and wellness workshops

Practical Information
Entry is free with registration (online pre-registration until September 12 at midnight, or on-site at the Info Point).
Registered participants can take part in any activity during the day.
The facilities of the Szentes Spa & Sports Centre are open free of charge to all registered guests.
Please bring appropriate swimwear, sportswear, and a refillable water bottle.

Hungarian–Romanian Health Day in Szentes: A Celebration of Sport and Healthy Living

The Szentes Water Polo Club (SZVK) and Clubul Sportiv Atletico Arad (CSAA) are proud to announce the upcoming Hungarian–Romanian Health Day, an all-day sport and lifestyle festival held in Szentes on September 13, 2025.

The event is part of the ROHU00353 IHSforROHU project, supported by the Interreg VI-A Romania–Hungary Programme, and aims to bring together Hungarian and Romanian communities through sport, health promotion, and cultural exchange.

Programme highlights include:

  • All-day Youth Water Polo Tournament (08:00–19:00)
  • Opening Ceremony (09:00) with speeches by Viktor Vörös, President of Szentes Water Polo Club, and Zoltán Ferenc Szabó, Mayor of Szentes
  • RowErg indoor rowing challenge
  • Tethered swimming competition
  • Mini football cup and 25 m sprint swimming races
  • Community art project: “Sport & Health” collaborative poster
  • Wellness and lifestyle activities for families

Participation is free of charge, but registration is required. Online pre-registration is open until September 12, midnight, after which guests can register on-site at the Info Point.

All registered participants will receive full-day access to the facilities of the Szentes Spa & Sports Centre and can join any of the scheduled activities.
