Training Camp Programme Plan
Project Title:
Interhealth and Sport for ROHU – Szentes and Arad are set on a lifelong path of movement and learning
Date: 10–14 September 2025
Participants: 60 persons (30 athletes and coaches from Hungary, and 30 athletes and coaches from Romania)
Day 1 (10 September 2025 – Wednesday)
~11:00 – Departure from Arad to Szentes
Afternoon programme:
14:00 – Arrival in Szentes
15:30 – 17:00
Location: Szentes Recreation and Sports Centre
• Joint fitness assessment on land (with participation of Szentes Water Polo Club youth team and Arad youth football team) – led by József Locskai, fitness trainer
• Team-building games in mixed groups to help Hungarian and Romanian children get to know each other (coaches: László Vecseri, József Locskai)
18:00 – 19:30 – Friendly match between Szentes Kinizsi (football team) and the Arad Football Team
20:00 – Dinner
21:00 – Evening campfire and social activities for Szentes and Arad participants (weather permitting)
Day 2 (11 September 2025 – Thursday)
Morning programme:
07:30 – Breakfast
08:30 – 09:30 – Swimming instruction, swimming technique training, and water practice for all players
Coach: László Vecseri
10:00 – 11:00 – Gradual stretching technique and injury-prevention exercises on the sports field – led by Peggi Vida – followed by relaxation in the thermal pool
12:00 – Lunch
Afternoon programme:
13:00 – Excursion to Ópusztaszer
• Team-building activities in mixed Hungarian–Romanian groups
• Visit to the Ópusztaszer National Heritage Park, where participants learn about Hungarian history
19:00 – Return to Szentes
20:00 – Dinner
Day 3 (12 September 2025 – Friday)
Morning programme:
08:00 – Breakfast
Start of the three-day youth water polo tournament
09:00 – 10:00 – Running training and stretching techniques
Coach: László Némethy (former Hungarian National Championship football player)
10:30 – 11:30 – Swimming and in-water stretching
Coaches: László Vecseri, Gábor Kis, Fruzsina Brávik, Peggi Vida
12:30 – Lunch
Afternoon programme:
• Watching several matches of the water polo tournament – Arad football players cheer for the Szentes team
15:00 – Introduction to water polo
Learning basic rules, movement in water, playful exercises
Coach: Fruzsina Brávik, Water Polo World Champion
• Continued viewing of water polo tournament matches
17:00 – Sport history lecture: “Why do we play sports, and since when?” – Lecturer: József Kádár, historian (at the stage)
20:00 – Dinner
Day 4 (13 September 2025 – Saturday)
Sport and Health Day – Open Community Event
Admission: Free of charge for all visitors, but registration is required.
Location: Szentes Recreation and Sports Centre

All services of the Szentes Recreation Centre are free of charge for registered participants.
All registered visitors may participate in any programme throughout the day (08:00–21:00).

Comprehensive health assessments for all age groups
Location: Medical room of Szentes Water Polo Club
Includes measurements of:
• blood sugar
• blood pressure
• vision
• blood oxygen level
• body fat percentage
• lung capacity
• EKG examination
Plus personalised lifestyle and nutritional counselling
10:00 – 15:00
Blood donation and blood pressure measurement
Organised with the assistance of the local Red Cross
10:30 – 11:15
Lecture on the history of the Carpathian Basin, highlighting centuries of Hungarian–Romanian coexistence

Let’s Have Fun and Enjoy Life Through Sport!
Drawing and painting activities for children and adults – creation of a large photo-wall poster
Led by Éva Kovács – fine artist and art teacher
Activities include:
• creation of a large poster-like community artwork
• involvement of participants in the shared composition
• children’s motivation through art to embrace sport and a healthy lifestyle
• visual representation of movement, dynamism, and teamwork
• safe outdoor techniques (drawing, colouring, collage)
Additional children’s activities: glitter tattoos, colouring sheets, stamping

Additional Sport Day Activities Encouraging an Active Lifestyle**
Open for all registered participants, regardless of age.
The goal is for everyone to try something and move:
• 400 m swimming
• Water polo target shooting competition
• Water polo legwork competition with belt and resistance band (How far can you push yourself?)
• 1000 m on rowing ergometer
11:00 – 1600 m running in Széchenyi Grove (on the running track)
14:00 – 5 km walking event in Széchenyi Grove (6 laps on the track)
In case of rain, part of the programme will be moved to the nearby sports hall.
Day 5 (14 September 2025 – Sunday)
08:00 – Breakfast
09:00 – Running school, running intensity and technique development (coach: László Némethy)
10:00 – Learning stretching techniques in thermal water, injury prevention – led by Peggi Vida
11:00 – Final camp evaluation meeting for the children
12:00 – Lunch
Early afternoon: Departure back to Arad
