The Hungarian–Romanian Health Day is more than just competitions – it is about waking up the body, engaging the mind, and celebrating health in every form. On this special day, we invite participants of all ages to join activities that combine physical energy, medical awareness, cultural reflection, and creative expression.
Programme Highlights
09:30 – Morning Wake-Up Gymnastics
Start the day with a refreshing poolside workout, open to everyone who wants to join. Led by Peggy Vida, personal trainer and former Hungarian champion player of Szentes Water Polo Club, the session is designed to energize and prepare participants for a full day of activities.
10:00–18:00 – Health Screenings
Medical check-ups are available for all age groups, helping participants better understand their own fitness and wellbeing.
10:00–15:00 – Blood Donation & Blood Pressure Checks
In cooperation with the local Red Cross team, visitors can contribute to saving lives while also monitoring their own health.

10:30 – Historical Lecture
“Centuries of Coexistence: Hungarians and Romanians in the Carpathian Basin”
Presented by historian József Kádár, the talk reflects on shared history and cultural ties across the region.
11:00–16:00 – Let’s Enjoy Life Through Sport!
A colourful drawing and painting contest for children and adults, led by artist and teacher Éva Kovács.
- Creation of a large, poster-style community artwork
- Participation prizes for everyone joining the art contest
- Safe outdoor techniques (drawing, colouring, collage)
This activity motivates children to embrace healthy living and teamwork through art.
15:00 – Zumba Session with Peggy Vida
An energetic dance-based workout that brings people together with rhythm, movement, and fun.
