The Sport and Health Day is open to all interested visitors. Admission is free for everyone, but registration is required.

Location: Szentes, Szentes Recreation and Sports Centre

Event Venues:

  1. Szentes Recreation and Sports Centre
    6600 Szentes, Csallány Gábor Part 4.
  2. Széchenyi Grove Park

All services of the Szentes Recreation Centre are free of charge for registered participants.
Every registered guest may participate in any programme throughout the entire day (08:00–21:00).

Full-day youth water polo tournament – group matches

Opening ceremony of the Sport Day
Speakers:
• Viktor Vörös (President of Szentes Water Polo Club)
• Zoltán Ferenc Szabó (Mayor of Szentes)

Morning wake-up workout – stretching and mobilisation session for anyone wishing to join
Instructor: Peggy Vida, personal trainer, former Hungarian champion water polo player of Szentes VK

10:00 – 18:00

Health assessments for all age groups
Location: Medical room of Szentes Water Polo Club
Screenings include:
• blood sugar
• blood pressure
• vision check
• blood oxygen level
• body fat percentage
• EKG examination
• lung capacity test
Additional personalised lifestyle and dietary advice is available.

10:00 – 15:00

Blood donation and blood pressure measurement
Organised with the assistance of the local Red Cross.

10:30 – 11:15

Lecture: The History of the Carpathian Basin, highlighting centuries of Hungarian–Romanian coexistence
Lecturer: József Kádár, historian

11:00 – 16:00

Let’s Have Fun and Enjoy Life Through Sport!
Drawing and painting for children and adults – creating a large-scale photo-wall poster
Led by Éva Kovács, fine artist and art teacher

Activities include:
• creation of a large, poster-like collective composition
• participant involvement in the shared artwork
• motivating children toward sport and healthy living through art
• visual representation of movement, dynamism, and team spirit
• outdoor-safe techniques (drawing, colouring, collage)

Additional activities for children: glitter tattoos, colouring sheets, stamping.

Joint movement session with Peggy Vida
Stretching and preventive exercises

Zumba class – led by Peggy Vida

Roundtable discussion:
Hungarian athletes in Romania and Romanian athletes in Hungary

Additional Sport Day Activities Encouraging an Active Lifestyle**

All registered participants—young and old alike—may take part in the following optional competitions.
The key objective: try something, move, and enjoy sport!

• 400 m swimming
• Water polo target shooting competition
• Water polo legwork competition with belt and resistance band (Who can push themselves the farthest?)
• 1000 m on the rowing ergometer

11:00 – 1600 m running in Széchenyi Grove (running track)
14:00 – 5 km walking event in Széchenyi Grove (6 laps on the track)

In case of rain, some events will be moved to the nearby gymnasium.
